St. Marys Catholic Middle School Relaxed Dress Code " Jeans or casual pants, including cargo pants that are in good repair and fit properly are acceptable. Wind pants, that are NOT tear-aways, are acceptable. Before October 15 and after April 15, shorts (of a length that goes at least to the fingertips when arms hang down) may be worn. No short shorts, spandex, sloppy sweats, camouflage, pleather, plastic, etc. are permitted. Nothing that is outlandish or in poor condition is permitted. " Shirts, sweaters, or sweatshirts must be LOOSE FITTING. Shirts must have sleeves. Shirts may or may not have a collar. No undershirts, tank tops, sleeveless shirts, or spaghetti straps are permitted. Shirts may not be cut off. All shirts must be a proper length. The shirt must be able to be tucked in or must extend beyond the waistband of your pants when standing or sitting. ABSOLUTELY NO BARE MIDRIFFS OR TIGHT-FITTING TOPS are permitted. Nothing that is outlandish or in poor condition is permitted. Any printing or logos on shirts must be consistent with our Catholic school environment. " Sneakers or casual shoes are acceptable. No boots, sandals, clogs, or open-toed shoes are permitted. " Make-up, hair, and jewelry rules apply as usual. The administration reserves the right to make the final determination as to whether any item of clothing is acceptable for the relaxed dress code. (When in doubt, ask or don't wear it!) The alternative to the above guidelines is always the regular school uniform. Any student who is found to be in violation of these guidelines risks not being permitted to participate in other dress-down days. |
