Tuition Credit Programs Grocery Certificates Family and friends can purchase grocery certificates in various denominations for BiLo or Pfaff's Market in St. Marys or Paper City Jubilee in Johnsonburg. The value of the certificate equals the value of the money used to buy it. A $100 grocery certificate buys $100 dollars worth of groceries. When you use the certificate, the grocery store donated 5%, or in this case, $5 to your tuition account. Grocery certificates are available through school or parish offices. SCRIP Gift Cards SCRIP gift cards are negotiable certificates that are used just like cash. Both national and local retailers accept SCRIP and each business determines its percentage of credit. For example, for $200 paid by cash or check, you receive a gift card valued at $200 for purchases. If the business offers 5% credit, the family that is designated receives $10 in tuition credit from the business. Chris Gismondi, 834-4215, is the program coordinator. Schoolpop (OneCause) Internet Shopping (Schoolpop can also be accessed through OneCause) Tuition credits may be earned through an Internet shopping site called Schoolpop (OneCause). In simple terms, by registering with Schoolpop (OneCause) and then shopping with Internet retailers through the Schoolpop (OneCause) website, the shopper earns a percentage of the amount purchased as tuition credit. Anyone shopping through Schoolpop (OneCause) can specify a family's tuition account. |
In excess of 60% of our families are using the tuition credit programs. Several of our families actually earned enough credits through these programs to cover their entire tuition!! Relatives and friends can use these programs to earn tuition credit for a family. If you need help getting started, we'll guide you through any of the three programs. Tuition credit programs are a great way to support businesses that support us. |
